Let the good vibes get a lot stronger and get all ‘Laid Back’ in this field of Chrysanthemums by top Dutch floral stylist Andreas Verheijen. To bring about instant good cheer he arranged fluffy and raceme Chrysanthemums and Santini in a low bowl to a flourishing valley in bright white, shocking pink and soaring orange. “Sometimes you really want to rock with Chrysanthemums,” Verheijen says. “These are really inspiring flowers. Forget everything you know and think about them, get down with Chrys and you’ll be amazed with the results.”

Whoah! We're gonna have a party the Vengaboys squeal and these beaming Santini and raceme Chrysanthemums instantly get into the groove. Noted Dutch floral stylist Johan Martens combined sunny orange with shocking pink, bright yellow and the pink of a pale evening sky. “By arranging the flowers in different heights and mix in some exotic leaves the bouquet seems nice and casual,” he says. “Just as if you picked it during an early walk.”

Gary Taffin, top floral designer from France, tied together Chryssies in different heights to an almost square shape. The halo of rattan cores really shows off the effect of the weird and wonderful spoon like petals. “Chrysanthemum goes well with summer,” Taffin says. “It’s a strong flower, so a good match for warm days. And it’s exuberant, that also fits the season well.

Hey, allright now, and don't it feel good! by Katrina and the Waves reflects in this original summerlike arrangement, enveloped in a collar of folded little waves. German Chrysanthemum ambassador Julia Heller really knows her way around fluffy and raceme Chrysanthemums and Santini. “Because there are so many different colours and shapes it is possible to create maximum effect with minimal means,” she says. “Sometimes customers can hardly believe that you can do all this with amazing Mums.”

… when the weather's fine, you can stretch right up and touch the sky by Mungo Jerry mirrors itself in this high, simple and effective design by Dutch top floral stylist Rob Plattel. “I wanted to use bright colours to create that feeling of a glorious summer day,” he says. “Chrysanthemums offer those colours, especially the white, which is almost blinding.” For this masterpiece he tied fluffy and raceme Chrysanthemums and Santini together in coloured rattan cores for a modern twist on the Belle Époque mood in seaside resorts like Brighton and Cannes.

You'll be going loco down in Acapulco, the magic down there is so strong by the Four Tops provided the inspiration of this tropical surprise by noted French floral stylist Gary Taffin. “To me a design should be both original and commercial,” he says. “Chrysanthemums are strong and cool, but also are their money’s worth. Pick the right varieties and you really don’t need much to make something special that will sell like a treat.”

All together now: Vamos a la Playa, oh o-o-o-oh! In this case Righeira brings along a lovely picnic basket, filled with Chrysanthemums by Dutch floral artist Johan Martens: modest investment, great result. “Chrysanthemums are very suitable for exciting experiments like this one,” says Martens. “They are really trendy flowers and there is so much choice to make dramatic contrasts. I like to push the limits on that one.”

Tropical the island breeze, all of nature wild and free, Madonna sings about her paradise and got top German floral stylist Julia Heller all inspired to create her own Ile of Chrys. With relatively few flowers, oasis covered with ochre wool and blue beads she constructed this fantastic little seascape. “It really pays off to experiment with Chrysanthemums,” Heller says. “The flowers are very versatile, appealing and wonderfully easy to work with.”

Five fluffy Chrysanthemums show off their strength and height like palms. Inside the flowers brings exotic colours and at the foot of the arrangement pale pink Santini form a powdery beach. “Chrysanthemum is a great flower if you want to score and impress,” Martens says. “Don’t leave out this trendsetter, because you’ll miss out on great creative and commercial changes.”

Play a bit with different heights and you get a lively, fascinating bouquet with lots of distinction.”

Jump up and down and move it all around: five little vases go Latin in a way that would make Lou Bega proud. French top floral stylist Gary Taffin arranged multiple Chrysanthemum varieties in different heights to create movement and put the fab five close together on their own dance floor. “You have to be plucky with Chrysanthemums,” Taffin says. “You have to take them out of their comfort zone and show how cool they can be – costumers appreciate that.”
